Edinburgh with Canon 600d

There is another portion of my recent photos from a casual walk in Edinburgh. Enjoy!

Photoblog - a walk around Edinburgh with my new camera :)

I only recently started training my photographer's eye and it's not only getting addictive, it completely changed the way I look at the world. I always could see the beauty and magic of everyday life and 'normal' things around that are so easy to take for granted, but these (happy) days with my new Canon 600D I can actually capture and share how I see the life around me :)  Now that's the sign the Christmas is coming :)  Do you know what is this? How old was that tree?

My Hair - October

Welcome to my second hair update, this time it is from the month October.  At the beginning of this month I finished my hair and nail supplements I was taking for the last 12 weeks and now I am having a break from tablets.  From the last just over 2 weeks I am regularly doing a two part hair mask which I keep on my head for around 30 minutes after washing with delicate shampoo:  For my scalp I mix WAX treatment and Jantar scalp tonic (it is a Polish product that has tons of positive feedback online, however if used according to the instructions, my scalp just HATES IT - it becomes itchy and my hair fall out for the next few days after the use, but surprisingly I have great results if I mix it with the mask and apply just on my head.) At the same time I mix Biovax Latte with 2 drops of Argan Oil, a little bit of urea and Vitamine B3 and apply it on the rest of the hair.  2 weeks is still too short to see real results, but I can already say I have to...

My Ankles Before and After Massage - More Photos

Under my video where I show how I slimed down my ankles and calves with simple massage (you can find it here : How To Slim Down Your Ankles and Calves With Simple 1.5 Minute Massage ) I recently have been asked to provide some more photos showing the after effect. Below you can find a couple of photos of my ankles that I made today morning (note I don't do the massage every day anymore, just once or twice a week to maintain the results): I'm standing flat in my flip-flops: And in a different light: Below you can see my ankles before and after in the same pose (in flat flip-flops) and pretty much the same proportions: And the same picture but smaller (photo on the left is not the best quality): I hope it is satisfactory for you and if you decide to play with this massage you will get similar results. Any questions, please ask :)

My Hair - September

While on holidays in Spain I thought it's a good place to start my regular hair photo updates. This September it has been exactly two years since I made a decision to divorce a hair dryer, hair bleach of any kind, hair styling products and harsh ingredients in shampoos (SLS etc.). My hair got a new, healthier life and look but as they grew, I discovered that this is only a beginning of my journey for beautiful hair. It might be obvious for others but I only realised over the last couple of years that my hair will never be naturally thick, sleek and breathtaking just like I always admired in my Mediterranean sisters (and even in my Irish boyfriend). Instead I learned I have very fine, delicate, sensitive and easily damaged by EVERYTHING (heat, cold, wind, salty or hard water, rubbing against harsh materials e.g. clothing as well as pillowcases) hair. Let's have a look at my hair, for the photos I brushed them with Tangle Teezer : Even short exposure to sun gives my ha...

What a surprise! Primark Nail Varnish “Angelica” and “P.S. Nail Polish”

We all love this feeling when you’ve just finished your last piece of work before going on well deserved 2 weeks holidays.  I’m still working on living the holiday mood every day (not having to do anything apart from what fulfils my soul, relaxes me and brings me joy and happiness) but in the meantime over last few days I was enjoying a hunt for some holiday  accessories.  I’m not a massive fashion girl, but this time I felt hungry for bright, neon colours and as I was getting some basics in Primark, without expecting much I decided to try colourful Primark nail varnishes.  My favourite nail polish range is Rimmel Lycra Pro and I have quite a lot of shades but unfortunately they do not offer satisfying enough choice of bright, holiday colours therefore I was forced to try something new. Rimmel Lycra Pro is a winner for me because it’s long lasting (up to 3 days in perfect condition) and doesn’t chip in a regular way but it kind of fades on the edg...

The book that fulfilled its purpose

“You don’t do anything. Cosmic law, remember? Like attracts like. Just be who you are, calm, clear and bright. Automatically as we shine who we are, asking ourselves every minute is this what I really want to do, doing it only when we answer yes, automatically that turns away those who have nothing to learn from who we are and attracts those who do, and from whom we have to learn, as well.” “To bring anything into your life, imagine that it’s already there. (…) Imagine, visualise it, every line and edge of it. Just for a minute. Then let it go.  (…) Surround it in golden light, if you want. That’s a healing thing to help make it real, but it works in magnetising, too”  Do you know this feeling when you have a random conversation with a stranger and suddenly he says these few words that completely change your perspective on life? Or the lyrics of the song you hear for the first time that in one sentence summarise something you’ve been trying to put into words for ...

What if you were given another body? - Russian Clip-In Hair Extensions Review

Recently I bought myself a long desired Russian clip-in hair extensions to see how it feels to have a thick and long Cover Girl hair look. Little did I realise that as I purchased this real human hair, I got a piece of somebody else's body that I have no idea how to look after. (Not that shiny really, the camera enhances the shine) My delicate, sensitive, fine hair is something I struggled with my whole life but after years of trials and errors, at 25 I can finally say I got to know their needs pretty well.  I mean, it took me 25 years to get to this point and now I found myself with a ponytail of someone else's subject of life long battles and struggles. I bet, this beautiful Russian girl who was growing this hair her whole life before she cut them and sold them also went through years of hard work getting to know how to take care of them well. The problem is that her struggles were completely different to mine. My delicate, soft, fine, frizzy...
