I know this topic is pretty intimate and selecting non-
hormonal contraception method is a very personal choice, but I want to share what
I decided to use from now on because few weeks ago I was looking for some kind
of advise or even information or opinion from somebody who also decided not to
use hormones regardless being sexually active and in a long term relationship
and I just couldn’t find information I was looking for.
I basically decided to combine natural with barrier
methods. Simply speaking I’ll be charting my cycle and we will be avoiding
intercourse during my ovulation and few days leading to it (even with the
condom), and during the rest of the cycle we will be using condoms.

Recently my attention draws Fertility Monitors such as
Lady-Comp or cheaper version Cyclotest. Lady-Comp is quite pricy for what it
does (it’s pretty much automated cycle charting) but apparently it makes women’s
life so much easier which I read in many positive reviews that I’ll definitely
consider buying it when my body and I are ready.
When my periods go back to balance and regularity (which
will not happen within next 6 months - 1 year at least) and I will learn to
fully trust my body and its sings then maybe but only MAYBE I will think about occasionally
swapping condom for pull out method which will let us enjoy condom free
intercourse from time to time, to which we were so used to while I was on the
pill.
Do experienced girls who gave up pills and went for
non-hormonal contraception methods have any other suggestions or advise about
pill-free life?
